OVIF Working On 'Serving The Cowards' Video
September 14, 2008Montreal thrash metal band OVIF, which features former members of MELODYACT, is working on the video for the song "Serving The Cowards". "Bringing the meaning of the song into images is a challenge to say the least," says Erick Paquin (drums, guitar). "The song, which is based on a true story, talks about a soldier who went to war only to be forgotten by his so called 'country' once he comes back home paraplegic. The message here is basically that it is not worth it to fuck up your life for the commanders or 'cowards' of your country. The Internet is full of soldier stories like this by the way...just look it up. War sucks!!! So the video should be out sometime in October if all goes well!"
OVIF recently tapped session musicians Olivier Beaudoin (drums) and George Lagotodis (guitar) to perform with the group this summer.
OVIF's debut album, "Devast", was recorded with veteran producer Glen Robinson (VOIVOD, GWAR, ANNIHILATOR) and contains 13 songs, five of which are sung in French.
